El Paso, Texas (Border Report) — The U.S. Border Patrol’s El Paso Sector is reinforcing its message that “the border is closed” with a new social media video highlighting aerial surveillance along the Southwest border.
The latest arrest statistics from U.S. Customs and Border Protection show that along the Southwest border, 71,580 individuals have been arrested between ports of entry as of June of this fiscal year; 12,762 of those arrests happened in the El Paso Sector. The area with the most detentions is the Rio Grande Valley, followed by Tucson and El Paso.
