During our visit to Lititz, Pennsylvania, we discovered one of those unexpected treasures inside the Julius Sturgis Pretzel Bakery. From the outside, it may appear to be just a small-town bakery but stepping through its doors reveals a story that reaches back more than 160 years.
As part of our visit, we toured the historic bakery, learned the traditions behind pretzel making, and even tried our hand at rolling our own pretzels. What started as a simple stop became a reminder of why slow travel is so rewarding…
