Motorcyclist injured after allegedly running red light in Pacific Beach, broadsides vehicle

PACIFIC BEACH, Calif. (FOX 5/KUSI) — A woman driving a Honda CB500 motorcycle on Saturday sustained multiple injuries after allegedly running a red turn arrow on Mission Bay Drive and broadsiding a Honda Civic, according to the San Diego Police Department.

The 33-year-old motorcyclist was reportedly in the southbound lane on Mission Bay Drive around 3:30 p.m. Saturday. Meanwhile, a 38-year-old man was driving a black Honda Civic in the HOV lane on the same street.

The motorcyclist allegedly ran a steady red-turn arrow and reportedly broadsided the Honda.

The motorcyclist sustained a fractured hip and abrasions to her leg, and her injuries are deemed non-life-threatening, according to SDPD…
