COUNCIL BLUFFS, Iowa (WOWT) – Gabriela Abreu had never planned on boccia.
The sport has unexpectedly become the center of her life as she competes for a national championship this weekend at the Iowa West Field House in Council Bluffs—and works toward a spot at the 2028 Los Angeles Paralympics.
