CHULA VISTA, Calif. 9FOX 5/KUSI) — The City of Chula Vista has launched its first official podcast, giving residents a new way to stay informed about local government, community projects and upcoming events.
The new Chula Vista CityCast debuted last week with its inaugural episode, “Parks for the People,” which features an inside look at the city’s Parks & Recreation Department. The first episode also highlights renovation projects currently underway at Hilltop Park and Eucalyptus Park.
According to city officials, the podcast is designed to take listeners behind the scenes of city operations through conversations with local leaders, updates on projects and programs, and stories that affect Chula Vista residents.

The city plans to release new episodes every other month as an audio-only podcast.
