WEISER, Idaho (CBS2) — Middleton/ Star firefighters were called out twice early in the morning to help protect a community threatened by a fast-moving wildland fire and to battle a residential structure fire.
At about 1:25 a.m., the Middleton/Star Fire Districts received a mutual aid request to assist with structure protection in the city of Weiser as a fast-moving wildland fire threatened the community. Crews responded to support local resources and help protect homes and property.
Later, at 6:33 a.m., crews from the Middleton/Star Fire Districts, Nampa Fire District and Caldwell Fire Department responded to a reported residential structure fire. Firefighters arrived to find a working fire, and the incident was upgraded to a second alarm to bring in additional resources…
