While students in Christian County have a little longer to enjoy some late mornings, students in Todd County and Clarksville are packing up their supplies and setting their clothes out, as school starts there on Wednesday.
That means school buses will be back out, students will be walking or biking to school and there will be increased traffic on area roadways. The Clarksville Police Department and Todd County law enforcement are reminding motorists to stay alert, obey those school zone speed limits and watch carefully for students, staff and parents that could be close to the roadway.
Also, there is a big reminder to stop for school buses. Law requires all traffic to stop when a school bus has its red lights flashing and stop arm extended, even on multi-lane roads such as Tiny Town Road that do not have a physical median separating opposing traffic.
