LEAWOOD, Kan. — A Kansas City nonprofit is helping a group of greyhounds that were found malnourished in a rural town in Oklahoma.
Of the 30 dogs found, 18 survived. Five of them are now in Leawood, Kansas, where they are receiving a second chance at life. They currently weigh only about half of what they should, are filled with ticks and fleas, and went an unknown time without food and water.
