Augusta man sentenced in 2024 Monte Carlo Drive shooting

AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) – An Augusta man has been sentenced in connection with a 2024 shooting that left a victim hospitalized, according to the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office.

Brandon Alexander Francis, who was 18 at the time, was identified as a suspect in a shooting that occurred around midnight on June 9, 2024, on Monte Carlo Drive.

He was arrested approximately five months after the incident, according to jail bookings.

Deputies say they responded to a call for shots fired with one subject down and found multiple shell casings in the road in front of a home, along with blood evidence at the scene…
