AIKEN, S.C. (WJBF) – Aiken Technical College nursing graduates participated in a a pinning ceremony on Monday, showing they’ve completed all their coursework and are ready to start their careers.
The ceremony is a tradition in the field that signifies the transition from student to nurse.
“The minute I told them I was graduating within a few weeks when I was in clinicals weeks ago, they’re all like, oh my goodness, oh my goodness. Even my classmates,” said Cassandra Demauro, an LPN student and the valedictorian. “A lot of them have even received job offers during clinicals, which is very exciting. So definitely a cool path to take.”…
