COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH) — A trip to an Upper Arlington gas station on a Tuesday ended with a million-dollar win for a Columbus man.
According to the Ohio Lottery, the man, who chose not to share his name, visited the Speedway at 1430 W. Lane Ave. on July 7. While checking out the scratch-off tickets, he noticed a $1,000,000 Stacked Scratch-Off was numbered 11. Since his youngest daughter’s birthday is on the 11th, he decided to make the $20 purchase.
After returning to his car with his fiancée, he decided to see if his scratch-off was a winner. When it revealed the jackpot, $40,000 a year for 25 years, he said he was surprised. He told the lottery he thought he was dreaming and wondered, “Is this real?”…
