Community complaints lead to investigation, arrests in Battle Creek

BATTLE CREEK, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – The Battle Creek Police Department says four people were arrested after they executed a search warrant at a residence on North 28th Street last Thursday as part of an investigation into suspected illegal narcotics activity at the property.

They says the investigation began after the department received multiple complaints from community members regarding suspected drug activity and unusually heavy traffic at the home. Members of the Patrol Division, Community Oriented Policing Services, and the Community Fusion Center worked together to investigate the concerns.

Investigators confirmed illegal narcotics activity at and originating from the residence. They also determined the homeowner was operating an unlawful boarding house and providing accommodations for individuals involved in narcotics use…
