With all the letters written about what is needed in areas of Marion County, there are two that I have not seen. We have one book store in the entire county, yes there are several small used book stores but only one Barnes and Nobles. Now you know why Johnny can’t read.
The second is a decent Bait and Tackle store. We have such lovely lakes where people can actually fish and catch something, where tournaments are regularly held, but try to find a good bait and tackle shop and there are none to be found in close proximity to the lakes. You can find them near the interstate or in The Villages, but that does a fisherman little good when his rod breaks or he needs hooks, artificial bait, or real bait…
