Suspect accused in string of Savannah home burglaries indicted

SAVANNAH, Ga. (WTOC) – A man previously arrested in connection with several Savannah-area home burglaries has now been indicted on multiple charges.

Chatham County court records show a grand jury indicted Meshawn Shamar Richardson on first-degree burglary charges connected to separate incidents reported in August and September 2025.

In another case, Richardson and James Monterio Jenkins were jointly indicted on charges of first-degree burglary and theft by taking. The indictment alleges the men entered a Savannah home in February 2026 intending to commit a theft…
