Trash to treasure: Toledo’s newest riverfront trail opens

Toledo officials on Monday dedicated a new public park that transforms a former confined disposal facility into a restored riverfront destination along the Maumee River.

The city-owned property at 3100 N. Summit St. had once accepted material dredged from the Maumee River shipping channel in 1972 and 1973.
