WILMINGTON, N.C. (WECT) – The Wilmington Police Department (WPD) officially welcomed its new second-in-command Monday as Assistant Chief Brooke Wright was sworn into office.
Wright took the oath of office during a morning ceremony attended by city leaders, department command staff, community partners and family.
