LINN COUNTY, Ore. – A motorcyclist died after a pickup truck turned into his path on Highway 226 near milepost 11 on Friday night, according to the Oregon State Police.
OSP officials said they responded to a two-vehicle crash on July 31 at about 9:41 p.m. Arthur Vernon Roberts, 77, of Lebanon, was driving a blue Ford 350 pickup truck westbound on Highway 226 Roberts slowed to turn south on Richardson Gap Road and turned into the path of an eastbound Harley Davidson motorcycle, according to police. Tanner Kolten Henderson, 29, of Gates was riding the motorcycle.
The motorcycle hit the front end of the pickup truck. The motorcycle and Henderson landed in a ditch off the roadway, police said. The pickup stopped in the roadway and blocked the intersection…
