PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — Starting Monday, a popular Clark County park will close for the next two months.
A portion of Daybreak Regional Park in Battle Ground, Washington, is closed for construction through October 15. Clark County Public Works organizers said it is tied to the East Fork Lewis River reconnection project.
According to organizers, the $23.5 million restoration project aims to restore habitat and reduce flooding and erosion along the lower part of the river. Additionally, crews will be working to repair the boat ramp/launch that was damaged in December 2025 due to flooding. When the park reopens, the boat launch will remain closed.
