Kayla Hanley Exits WCOL Columbus After Fourteen Years

Kayla Hanley ends fourteen years at iHeartMedia’s WCOL in Columbus, Ohio. She departs the morning show this Friday.

What We KnowHanley started as an intern in 2013 and systematically climbed the ranks. She transitioned to producer before becoming co-host of “Zuko & Kayla” with Program Director Dan Zuko in 2022. The morning show currently ranks atop the Columbus market. Her exit represents a seismic shift for one of radio’s most established programs.

What They SaidHanley confirmed her decision through a candid statement about her priorities. “This wasn’t an easy decision to make especially since we are on top of the world here on ‘Zuko and Kayla,’” she shared, “but I’ve been given a job opportunity to be home with my girls (especially the mornings), and be more present for them, myself and my family and friends.” She praised her co-host’s influence considerably: “I am forever grateful to Zuko because 5-10am IS a highlight of my day.
