Police: K9 alert leads to discovery of one pound of meth during Evansville traffic stop

EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WFIE) – An Evansville man is facing dealing charges after drug task force detectives reportedly found approximately one pound of methamphetamine during a traffic stop on Thursday.

According to the Evansville Police Department, a detective with the Evansville-Vanderburgh County Drug Task Force stopped a driver near Covert and Weinbach avenues on July 30 after observing multiple traffic violations.

The driver was identified by police as 66-year-old Terry S. Adams.
