CLAYTON — The Clayton Town Council approved an agreement with the North Carolina Department of Transportation for two greenway expansion projects along the south side of N.C. 42 during its July 20 meeting.
The projects are the addition to the Mountain to Sea Trail from Fox Ridge Road to the Neuse River Bridge and the addition of the East Clayton Connector Greenway from East Front Street to Glen Laurel Road.
“Together these projects create a continuous corridor along N.C. 42 and provide the opportunity to extend the towns’ greenway network to the Mountains to Sea Trail at Sam’s Branch,” Project Manager Tucker Creech said…
