WASHINGTON (7News) — A man was arrested early Tuesday after police said he entered a D.C. Department of Public Works street sweeper, causing the driver to flee before taking control of the vehicle in Northwest Washington, D.C.
According to police, the operator of the Elgin street sweeper called for assistance around 1:37 a.m. after the man entered the vehicle while he was still in possession of it near 3rd Street and Florida Avenue NW.
