Ann Arbor schools are rolling out cellphone rules. Here’s what families should know.

ANN ARBOR, MI – An official districtwide policy to limit students’ access to their cellphones is being fine-tuned in Ann Arbor Public Schools before the next academic year kicks off.

The board of education got an early preview of the draft rules last week, largely codifying practices already piloted at schools across the district over the last couple of years, and board members continued the discussion about possible tweaks to the policy in committee on Monday, Aug. 3.
