Residents can meet local deputies, explore specialized vehicles and learn about crime prevention during National Night Out events Tuesday evening.
The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office will participate in celebrations in Bessemer and Birmingham. The family-friendly events are designed to strengthen relationships between law enforcement and the communities they serve.
“Building strong relationships with the communities we serve is one of the most important parts of our mission,” Sheriff Mark Pettway said. “National Night Out gives our deputies the opportunity to engage with residents outside of emergency situations, answer questions, build trust, and strengthen the partnerships that help keep Jefferson County safe.”…
