FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. (WNCN) — The Blood Connection assumed operations of the Cape Fear Valley Blood Donor Center over the weekend, the nonprofit said.
On Saturday, according to the nonprofit, operations transitioned from Cape Fear Valley Health to The Blood Connection, which renamed the center as the Fayetteville Community Blood Center. The center is located at 3357 Village Drive in Fayetteville.
The transition is part of a plan for The Blood Connection to become the only supplier of blood products for Cape Fear Valley Health, which will allow the health system to focus on patient care while The Blood Connection recruits donors, collects blood, and maintains a safe supply, according to the nonprofit…
