Campbell man dies in fiery car crash after his truck was struck by driver under the influence, authorities say

A fiery car crash in San Jose killed the driver of a truck that was struck by another driver who authorities believed was under the influence of alcohol Tuesday morning.

California Highway Patrol and an ambulance responded to the crash around 3 a.m. Tuesday, which occurred on State Route 17 southbound, north of Hamilton Avenue in San Jose.

Authorities said a 21-year-old man from Los Gatos was driving a Dodge Challenger when he crashed into the back of a Toyota Tacoma, causing the Toyota to lose control and catch fire…
