SAN ANTONIO – Three La Panaderia Bakery & Café locations in San Antonio violated federal child labor and wage laws, according to the U.S. Department of Labor.
The Labor Department said its investigation found the businesses employed a 13-year-old, who was too young to legally work, and allowed a 15-year-old to work overnight shifts, which is against federal law.
Investigators also found some workers were not paid properly. According to the department, one employee was not paid for two overnight shifts at the La Cantera location. Investigators also found employees who worked at more than one La Panaderia location were not paid overtime correctly…
