NAMPA -On August 3, 2026, at 3:54 p.m., Nampa Dispatch received several reports of a residential structure fire in the 1800 block of Ridge Point Avenue in Nampa. The Nampa Fire Department was dispatched, and upon their arrival, they requested Nampa Police to assist with traffic control. As firefighters worked to put the fire out, they discovered the fire was possibly set intentionally and requested police for a potential arson investigation.
Nampa Police Detectives, Arson Investigators, and Evidence Technicians were sent to the scene. During the preliminary investigation, detectives spoke to Daphnee Amike Onuoha, 34 years old, of Nampa, who said she lived at the home with two relatives and admitted she had set the fire because she was angry about her living arrangements.
