A former police officer in Albuquerque, New Mexico, has been indicted and charged with false imprisonment and misdemeanor battery over an incident in which he allegedly threw a woman against the side of her car after a minor fender bender, while off-duty.
The incident happened on March 28 near Paseo del Norte and Universe in the city. According to reports, a 33-year-old woman hit the rear of the car that off-duty officer Shawn Ginn was riding in as a passenger. Security camera footage captures the events right after impact, appearing to show Ginn approaching the woman’s vehicle, flinging open the door and moving toward her aggressively.
