Due to concerns over wildfire smoke and high temperatures, local police departments throughout Washington County are canceling annual observations of National Night Out, set for Tuesday, Aug. 4.
Beaverton, Tigard and Sherwood have all announced they will not have officers out visiting neighborhoods for the event designed to strengthen relationships with the public and promote public safety.
