ANCHORAGE, AK (Alaska’s News Source) – While rain and winds remain with many areas of the state, the system stalled overnight thanks to our ridge near Southeast Alaska. This limited just how much rain fell across Southcentral Alaska, although some flooding concerns are still possible for the Matanuska and Susitna valleys.
While rain won’t be as widespread for Tuesday, we’ll still see some periodic showers for Anchorage and surrounding areas. Most of the rain will remain in the Susitna Valley, western parts of the Kenai Peninsula, coastal areas and through Western Alaska.
