A 28-year-old man was saved from a submerged pickup truck after it plummeted off an Ohio highway and landed upside down in a creek. Some of the rescuers were firefighters who happened to be driving by.
“What that crew did and the teamwork — it was extraordinary,” Canton Fire Chief Steve Henderson told NBC affiliate WKYC of the dramatic rescue on Aug. 3. “They did a phenomenal job.”
That Monday, around 6:30 p.m. local time, the truck was caught on camera crossing the median on Interstate 77 and entering the opposite lanes as other vehicles approached, WKYC, CBS affiliate WOIO, and Fox affiliate WJW reported.
