The Christian County Sheriff’s Office is warning residents about a phone scam involving someone impersonating one of its deputies.
According to the sheriff’s office, scammers are posing as Lt. James Dragoo and telling victims they missed a court date or have a failure-to-appear or contempt warrant. The callers then instruct people to send money through a Bitcoin kiosk to avoid being arrested.
