For the first time in at least 18 years, according to one employee in the Garrison Directorate of Public Works, the National Guard is back on post operating heavy machinery.
Members from the 1151st Engineering Company, which operates out of the Green Cove Armory in Huntsville, and is part of the 877th Engineer Battalion, recently finished conducting a clearing and grubbing operation along Neal Road and at another site along Marshall Road.
“All this work wouldn’t be possible without our NCOs and our Soldiers,” Lt. Thomas Kragh said. “They’ve put a lot of hot, hard-working hours out here to accomplish this mission.”…
