LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — Hoosiers are just days away from seeing their gas prices higher than they’ve been in months.
Indiana’s gas tax holiday is set to expire this Thursday, Aug. 6, nearly four months after Gov. Mike Braun first suspended the tax in April. Since then, he has extended the tax three times, totaling 120 days, the maximum amount of time a governor can declare or extend a gas tax before needing special legislative approval.
