MONTGOMERY, Ala. (WSFA) – A federal judge has sentenced the fifth and final defendant in a drug-trafficking conspiracy to smuggle narcotics into the Elmore Correctional Facility, the U.S. Department of Justice announced Tuesday.
Lilbrian Rondarrius Ladd, 28, a former inmate at the facility, was sentenced on July 30, to 215 months in federal prison, followed by five years of supervised release. There is no parole in the federal system.
According to court documents, the DEA and the Alabama Department of Corrections began investigating in 2024 after discovering Ladd was coordinating methamphetamine deliveries from inside the prison. Ladd worked with fellow inmates Jarod Allen Poe, 39, Lawrence Alexander Dudley, 48, Ja’meria Quanay Snowden, 27, Chasity Pearl Lee Cox, 38, and three associates outside the facility to smuggle the contraband…
