Sprouts Farmers Market is preparing to open a new San Diego store in the North Park area this fall, at 3245 El Cajon Blvd. The specialty grocery concept just listed the location on its website, announcing that it’s scheduled to open October 2, taking over for a community market that closed last year.
It will occupy a 22,698-square-foot space that was previously home to Pancho Villa Farmer’s Market. The longtime neighborhood staple officially closed in early 2025 after decades of serving the community, and the property has since been undergoing renovation work.
Mychael Ramirez, Public Relations Manager for Sprouts Farmers Market, told What Now San Diego the store will employ 80-100 full and part-time team members, and they will begin hiring soon.
