Man hailed as hero dies after being struck by debris while helping at crash

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. (KY3/Gray News) – A man who stopped to help the driver of an overturned tractor-trailer has died from his injuries, nearly two weeks after the crash.

Dylan Hoyt and a group of people were traveling home from street racing on July 12 when they came across an overturned semi-truck on the westbound lanes of Interstate 44, near Miami, Oklahoma.
