AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) – On the first day of the new school year in Augusta, an elementary student brought a gun.
Richmond Hill Elementary School parents got a letter Wednesday telling them about the incident.
“Just before dismissal, a firearm was discovered in a student’s backpack,” Principal Tomekia Darrisaw wrote. “School staff and Richmond County School System Police responded immediately, secured the item, and addressed the situation following our Code of Student Conduct and Discipline.”…
