Deadly shooting at southeast Charlotte apartment complex deemed justified: CMPD

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — No one will be charged in connection with a deadly shooting at a southeast Charlotte apartment complex, Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police say.

Just after 7 a.m. on June 12, officers responded to an assault with a deadly weapon call at an apartment complex in the 7100 block of Wallace Road, between Monroe Road and E. Independence Blvd.

A woman, 31-year-old Jaqualla Monique Simmons, was found dead in the parking lot of the complex, according to a police report.

According to Medic, two other people were treated for non-life-threatening injuries…
