The Erie County Gaming Revenue Authority awarded a $100,000 grant to help revitalize a historic building in downtown Erie. The funding will support the Erie Art Company and FEED Media Center in their efforts to renovate the exterior of their shared space.
The investment is provided through the authority’s Anchor Building Grant Program, which is designed to drive the local economy and preserve historical structures that serve as community anchors. The grant follows five years of occupancy by the two art organizations in the early 20th-century building.
Crews from Shearer and Son Contracting Services are currently performing exploratory structural work to ensure the building is sound before aesthetic improvements begin.
