LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) — The former village manager of Elsie has been charged with two felonies and a misdemeanor stemming from his time leading the small Clinton County village.
Shane Grinnell, 44, was charged Tuesday in Clinton County District Court on one felony count of embezzlement over $50,000 but less than $100,000; one felony count of misconduct in office and a misdemeanor charge of willful neglect of duty by a public officer.
He was released on a $50,000 personal recognizance bond, which is where a defendant assures the court they fill follow all bond conditions ordered by the court and appear at all court proceedings. If the defendant fails to uphold any of those conditions and they are arrested, they have to pay $50,000 to bond out of jail.
