DES MOINES, Iowa — Two suspects in an early morning Des Moines burglary are still on the loose after police said they eluded capture following a pursuit that ended in a crash Wednesday.
Officers with the Des Moines Police Department responded to a burglary alarm a little after 3:00 a.m. at a business at 3921 E. 14th Street, said Public Information Officer Sgt. Paul Parizek. The owner of the business was able to provide officers with a description of the suspect vehicle and other details after remotely viewing security cameras.

A DMPD officer located the suspect vehicle parked at 3rd Street and Aurora Avenue about 10 minutes after the alarm. Sgt. Parizek said as the officer approached, the vehicle took off and a short pursuit began.
The suspect vehicle crashed and rolled onto its top at NW Morningstar Drive and Aurora Avenue. The two suspects in the vehicle fled on foot into a wooded area.
