Remains of missing Twin Cities man found in Douglas County Forest

Human remains believed to be that of a missing Twin Cities man were located in the Douglas County Forest on August 4th. The heavily wooded area is in the Town of Summit.

The 89-year-old man of Mendota Heights went missing from his residence on July 22nd. An electronic ping placed him on Highway 48 near Hinckley around 5 p.m. and video evidence showed his car in the Danbury/Webster area around 6 p.m.

Family believed he may have been heading to Superior or a family cabin near Amnicon Lake…
