FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. (WNCN) — Fayetteville residents are turning up the pressure on city leaders to stop proposed data center projects, arguing the facilities could strain the city’s water resources and put corporations ahead of residents.
Several residents packed Fayetteville City Council chambers this week, calling for a moratorium on data centers and demanding stronger protections before the city allows new projects to move forward.
