An officer with the Fall River Police Department who is on leave after an arrest has reached a plea deal.
According to court records, 34-year-old Marc Correia was arraigned July 12th, 2024, in Fall River District Court and was charged with Felony Witness Intimidation, Misdemeanor Improper Storage of a Firearm, and Misdemeanor Assault and Battery on a Family/Household Member. He pled not guilty.
Fall River Reporter previously made a records request with the Fall River Police Department concerning Correia’s police report and the request was denied due to Massachusetts law that states that “all reports of abuse perpetrated by family or household members and all communications between police officers and victims of such offenses or abuse shall not be public reports and shall be maintained by the police departments in a manner that shall assure their confidentiality.”…
