SWAT Arrests Man Accused Of Terrorizing Senior Apartment Complex

A 64-year-old man accused of terrorizing residents at a Vista senior apartment complex was arrested Tuesday morning following several days of disturbances and a SWAT response.

At approximately 5:00 a.m. on August 4, 2026, San Diego County Sheriff’s deputies responded to the 400 block of North Santa Fe Avenue after a resident reported that Logan Hines, 64, had fired a BB gun at him but missed. The resident took cover behind a wall and told deputies he was afraid to return to his apartment.

According to the Sheriff’s Department, deputies were already familiar with Hines following multiple disturbances over the previous several days. Investigators said Hines had destroyed a second-floor apartment window, thrown objects into the communal courtyard, fired a BB gun at vehicles and verbally harassed neighbors…
