NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) – Gov. Jeff Landry said Wednesday (Aug. 5) he will not meet with New Orleans Mayor Helena Moreno until any investigation into the grand jury proceedings that led to state Attorney General Liz Murrill’s indictment has concluded.
“I don’t want to go visit with the mayor if she was involved in it,” Landry said at a Wednesday afternoon press conference. “She may say she’s not, but suppose I find out she is?”
Meanwhile, at the same press briefing, Murrill said she may take legal action against anyone determined to have tampered with grand jury proceedings…
