SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO)– Cooler air settled in on Tuesday across KELOLAND, and it made for one of our chilliest mornings so far this summer.
Low temperatures on Wednesday morning fell into the 40s and 50s. Chamberlain recorded a low of 44 degrees, which has not happened since late May. This comfortable weather is much welcomed, though, after a warmer-than-usual July.
Sioux Falls and Aberdeen stayed in the 80s for their average July high temperature, while central and western South Dakota were in the 90s. All of these locations were warmer than last year.
In Rapid City, their average high of 94.7 degrees was the hottest since 2007! This put them in the record books for the 3rd warmest July with average high temperatures…
