ANCHORAGE, AK (Alaska’s News Source) – As the week’s halfway point has been reached, we’re looking ahead to clearing skies across Southcentral as our storm begins to fade.
Anchorage will dry into Thursday with mostly cloudy skies remaining through Friday. If you’re making weekend plans, high temperatures will warm into the upper 60s near 70 degrees with partly cloudy skies ahead for Saturday and Sunday. Around the Kenai Peninsula, light showers are possible in the morning hours, but a drier afternoon will carry you through the week.
Flooding concerns still remain along the Yentna River, especially at Lake Creek. The Moderate Flooding has been reaching with a crest of 22.4′ as of Wednesday morning, which is only a few inches from the record high crest set back in 2025.
